International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (abreviated as ISC2, (ISC)2 or (ISC)2), is the internationally recognized Standard for educating and certifying information security professionals throughout their careers. Founded in 1989, (ISC)2 issues the Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP), the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and related concentrations. credentials to those meeting the necessary competency requirements. Several of (ISC)2's credentials meet the stringent requirements of ISO/IEC Standard 17024, a global benchmark for assessing and certifying personnel.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
A credential accredited by ANSI to ISO Standard 17024:2003 in the field of information security, CISSP certification provides information security professionals with not only an objective measure of competence but a globally recognized standard of achievement. The CISSP credential demonstrates competence in the 10 domains of the (ISC)2 CISSP CBK.? The CISSP credential is ideal for mid- and senior-level managers who are working toward or have already attained positions as CISOs, CSOs or Senior Security Engineers.
Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP)
For CISSPs at the top of their fields, an (ISC)2 ISSAP credential demonstrates competence in the rigorous requirements for information security architecture. Candidates for the ISSAP must be a CISSP in good standing, pass the ISSAP examination and maintain the credential in good standing.
Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP): For CISSPs at the top of their fields, an (ISC)2 ISSMP credential demonstrates competence in the rigorous requirements for information security management. Candidates for the ISSMP must be a CISSP in good standing, pass the ISSMP examination and maintain the credential in good standing.
Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)

The CAP credential is an objective measure of the knowledge, skills and abilities required for personnel involved in the Certification and Accreditation process. Specifically, the credential applies to professionals responsible for formalizing processes used to assess risk and establish security requirements, as well as ensure information systems possess security commensurate with the level of exposure to potential risk.
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
The Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) credential offers information security tacticians, with implementation orientations, the opportunity to demonstrate their level of competence with the seven domains of the compendium of best practices for information security, the (ISC)2 SSCP CBK. The SSCP credential is ideal for those working toward or who have already attained positions as Senior Network Security Engineers, Senior Security Systems Analysts or Senior Security Administrators.
