I have a copy of your network security map, and I have come across something that I don't really understand.
The anti-virus and anti-phishing tools are located on the 7th OSI layer, while the anti-malware / adware tools are located at the 6th layer. Is there any background information available on why these tools are located at these specific layers?
The same question goes foor IDS/IPS.

Good question. Let me try to give an answer.
The OSI 7 layers model is a reference model - very few real networking systems are actually implemented according to it. In the widely used Internet and many other networks based on TCP/IP, a 4 layers model is actually followed, in which the application layer, presentation layer and session layer are combined into one. So when we design the security poster, the OSI 7 layers model was put there as a background/reference. It does not indicate that other information on the map rigorously follow the OSI 7 layers model. In the future design of the poster, we will certainly consider your feedback and find a way to avoid possible confusion.
