As was already noted, Funet network uses (as of Q1/2005) OSPFv2 for IPv4 and IS-IS (for IPv6 only) for IPv6. IPv4 infrastructure uses BGP with multiple (private) autonomous systems. Due to the (relatively) low number of IPv6 customers and traffic, the same kind of BGP topology has not been built for IPv6. Instead, IPv6 BGP has only been set up at the border routers, and the rest use IS-IS.
A longer term idea has been to switch from OSPFv2 to using IS-IS for both IPv4 and IPv6, but this has been a low priority task, and as of this writing, has not been done yet. At the same time, the same kind of BGP topology would probably be built.
